Design for the opening of Hörmann Croatia’s new business premise in Zaprešić

Hörmann Croatia celebrated 12 years of successful business in Croatia with the grand opening of its new business premises in the city of Zaprešić. As external collaborators and designers, we had the opportunity to participate in the preparation of the event.

If you've passed by Zaprešić on the Zagreb bypass towards Zagorje, you've surely noticed the large blue facility and the new business building of Hormann Croatia located in the industrial zone of the city. The company is part of the Hörmann Group, a leading European manufacturer of doors for industry and home. I believe many of you have positive associations with the brand, such as top quality, durability, and safety.

In addition to the new warehouse and working spaces, the new facility features a modern educational showroom for visitors to browse all the current products firsthand.

Find out how the ceremonial celebration went towards the end of this post, and now here's the part where we come in. :)

Design for the opening of Hörmann Croatia's business premises

To ensure the promotion of the event in the public eye, as well as the opening itself, we took care of designing several segments in print and web.

Among them are:

  • promotional materials such as invitations for guests and social media posts

  • design of LED display panels for the educational showroom

  • signage design on the building and entrance to Hörmann Croatia

  • design of a photo wall for visitors

  • creation of a video presentation of photographs for the stage

  • design of panels with information about the company and the Hörmann Group

  • visual for the cake :-)

The design of the promotional materials for the opening was preceded by the design of a complete new marketing activities system on the web and in print, which you can view here.

Design of LED display panels for Hörmann showroom

To further enhance the atmosphere for visitors in the showroom, we decided to use LED panels with photographs and infographics for various Hörmann products. LED panels are extremely visually appealing and sophisticated, with some advantages being uniform lighting across the entire surface and practicality in installation and replacement. Along with our showroom, we've seen the benefits of their use at trade shows.

Signage design for Hörmann Croatia

To make it easier for visitors and clients to find the office and navigate the parking area, we helped design and install several signs and informational boards:

  • a sign indicating the turn towards the office along the street and railway in Zaprešić

  • placement of a large logo on the hall

  • design of a board at the entrance in front of the building

  • design of boards for visitors arriving by car for parking

  • signs for the restroom on the ground floor

We'll call this the completed first phase since at the time of writing this, we're designing the interior signage and directional system that will facilitate movement within the building for visitors and employees.

For the production of signs and signboards, durable aluminum composite materials such as alubond, dibond, and ecobond are often used. Polymer stickers were used for printing information. Finally, installation is done by concreting.

An example of signage and office exterior design we did for Adriagate Booking Agency across multiple locations can be found here.

Ceremonial celebration, panel discussion, and concert

Finally, a little about the ceremonial celebration at the opening of the new premises. With around 300 guests, including employees, business partners, collaborators, and friends of Hormann Croatia, we had the opportunity to enjoy musical performances and a panel discussion. You can see how it all went in the photos. 🙂
